Revel

My Role at Revel

I. Overview

When I joined Revel, it was a small moped-sharing startup just beginning to find its voice. My focus was on shaping how the brand looked and sounded online, bringing a consistent style to everything from Instagram posts to city-wide launch campaigns. As Revel grew beyond mopeds—expanding into new cities and introducing its rideshare service—I kept the brand narrative strong and cohesive.

II. My Role

I established Revel’s visual identity and social media approach, defining the tone, look, and feel that made the brand recognizable. Beyond strategy, I produced the content myself—directing photo and video shoots, editing final assets, and managing freelance teams when we needed to scale up. I also developed paid marketing strategies, collaborating with a performance marketer to create campaigns that reached new riders and helped turn curious browses into actual trips.

III. The Result

By combining a clear brand story with high-quality visuals and well-targeted campaigns, Revel saw significant growth in ridership and user accounts. We successfully entered multiple new markets, introduced rideshare offerings, and ultimately quadrupled user engagement. In the end, our consistent, audience-focused approach turned Revel from a fledgling idea into a thriving, multi-city transportation brand.

Visual Identity and Content Creation

Once the brand’s visual identity and tone were set, I translated these guidelines into actual, eye-catching content. This meant producing photo shoots that captured the spirit of each city, directing video spotlights that showcased riders in action, and creating social posts that felt both polished and personal. By consistently using the established look and feel across every piece of content—paid ads, organic social, referral campaigns—viewers knew at a glance that it was Revel. Through this hands-on approach, the brand’s style wasn’t just an idea on paper; it was something people could see, recognize, and connect with every time they came across our channels.

Campaign

The launch of Revel Rideshare marked a pivotal expansion for the brand, shifting from moped rentals into on-demand car service. To introduce this new offering, I developed a comprehensive marketing strategy that covered everything from brand messaging to platform-specific outreach. I managed a freelance production team to create a standout brand video, and personally shot additional visual assets that showcased Revel’s modern fleet and easy-to-use app. This cohesive, multi-channel campaign attracted new riders, generated buzz across social platforms, and positioned Revel Rideshare as a dynamic, forward-thinking competitor in the urban transportation space.
